So, guess what's made me happy this time?
Let me tell you.
Last weekend we watched Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The beginning reminded me strongly of the original trilogy, so I liked it, particularly the bit with the snake-as-rope. But the ending was rather disappointing. I mean, really? Aliens was the most plausible thing you guys could think of? That's just what you get with George Lucas I guess.
But I digress.
Now, the main point.
What we watched this weekend was The Dark Knight. Which was awesome, and I don't think the Joker stole the show from Batman at all. Plus I think the gadgets make him a better hero than all those others. And I just really don't like Superman.
Now, you may know that Christian Bale plays Batman.
But do you know who does the voice of Howl in the English version of Howl's Moving Castle? That's right: Christian Bale. So watch The Dark Knight, and then go here ([link]) and watch Howl in English. It's like Batman is reading off all Howl's lines. Maybe I'm just too obsessive, but I found it to be a lot of fun. He has a distinct, gruff kind of voice (which, by the way, was hilarious, when he spoke as Batman in the movie).
